People ganging up to do the wrong thing?

Have you ever noticed, that people tend to gang up to do the wrong thing?

The story usually goes like this:

Inventor A, says a new cool idea.

Random Crowd Member B, says "that's rubbish".

Inventor A, says "no it's not, and besides your reasoning doesn't even
add up and you altered my words to make it sound like I was saying
something wrong".

Now at this point... there is a sort of turning point. People could
come in and help. Who do they tend to help? Yep, you got it, the one
who is in denial.

Crowd members C, D and E... then come along and rubbish the inventor,
and pat each other on the back.

...

Now... given that behaviour... how can important truths come about, in
a culture that is set to destroy them?

Surely, the only way it could come about, is when crowd member B
rubbishes a true claim... "caring guys" X, Y and Z turn up, and
rubbish the rubbisher.

Sadly... these three people seem to be missing. Whereas ABC seem to be
cloning thsemselves out of control.

But surely... it would be a good thing, if people formed a society
that fought for the truth? To help each other in their personal
battles... To collect a few people who are better at fighting for the
truth, and... getting them to help each other.

It could be like a credit system. If someone has done a lot of
fighting for the truth for someone else, against crowds of liars...
then he deserves others to fight for the truths he needs to survive,
against other crowds of liars.

Just an idea....
